Other Specified Eating Disorders (OSFED)
Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders (OSFED) may include some characteristics of Anorexia Nervosa and/or Bulimia Nervosa, but does not fit all criteria and can be just as life-threatening. Studies indicate mortality risk can be as high as that of Anorexia. Because OSFED encompasses many aspects of eating disordered behaviors, there may be a wide variety of symptoms that are included in the Anorexia and/or Bulimia categories. Please refer to those symptoms.
