Stefanie Westover, LMSW
Stefanie received her undergraduate degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University. Afterwards, she did graduate work at Purdue University in Speech-Language Pathology, specializing in childhood language disorders. Her Master of Social Work degree is from Northwest Nazarene University. Stefanie’s training is focused on the varied issues children and their families experience, including attachment, parenting, childhood trauma, prenatal exposure to alcohol and drugs, adoption, abuse, and the impact of domestic violence and addiction on children and their families. She utilizes Theraplay, Expressive Arts, Sandtray Therapy, Bibliotherapy, and Child Centered Play Therapy. When working with adults, Stefanie practices Sandtray Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; she has experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and addictions. She also has training in the Gottman Method for couple’s therapy.
