Liz Stephenson, LCPC Staff Manager
An eating disorder specialist, Elizabeth (Liz) Stephenson has worked with adults and adolescents in many clinical settings. While treating emotional and behavioral difficulties such as depression, anxiety, OCD, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, and relationships, Liz focuses on a client’s strengths. Liz earned her BS degree at Brigham Young University-Idaho. She graduated from Idaho State University with a master’s degree in marriage, couple and family counseling. As a licensed professional counselor and certified eating disorder specialist intern, her clinical experience includes individual and group therapy, assessment and treatment planning, nutritional interventions, the inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. She employs cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR) modalities to best fit her client’s needs. Passionate about helping clients with eating disorders, Liz has experience working at Center for Change, an eating disorder inpatient treatment hospital in Orem, Utah.
Liz has lived in Idaho for thirty years and enjoys traveling with her husband to different countries, meeting new people, visiting her grandchildren, teaching exercise and CPR, boating and cooking.
