Julie Carlson, LMSW
Julie graduated from Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) with a master’s degree in Social Work. She has always had a special place in her heart for children since receiving her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Utah State University. Julie also has extensive experience with a variety of ages from children to adults. Julie believes in creating an environment of hope that enhances empowerment when overcoming trauma responses that affects the body and mind. Julie works with clients who suffer from depression, anxiety, ADHD, stress from full-time caregiving, grief/bereavement, trauma, and PTSD.
Julie focuses on person-centered evidence-based treatments that include Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Art therapy, Play Therapy, and Sand tray. Julie enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and playing in the sand any chance she gets.
