Jacob Dresen, LPC
I enjoy working with depression, anxiety, and in helping clients to learn congruence between who they want to become and who they currently are. Helping clients to face life’s challenges and live authentically is my favorite part of therapy. I love working with clients who are ready to improve their wellbeing, however that may look, and learn to rise again when they fall. I have also been trained to work with betrayal trauma and can help in the process of healing from the betrayal of a partner addicted to sex or pornography. I take a person-centered approach to counseling while integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. Think of me as a river guide. My clients set their goals and destination and I can help get them to where they would like to go.It’s normal to struggle, to question, and to feel lost during this life. However, it’s not something that anybody needs to go through alone. I encourage anybody struggling with their mental health, identity, relationships, job, or other stressor to reach out and see what we can accomplish together.
