Gracie Hargraves, EdD *Online Only

Gracie Hargraves is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She received her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Idaho State University, and additionally earned a Doctorate in Counseling and Counselor Education from the same institution. Dr. Hargraves has also done extensive work in the field of forensics having been been certified previously by the National Board of Forensic Evaluators, NBCC. She has been involved in the counseling process for 30+ years working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Gracie believes there are many ways to therapeutically engage with clients in the counseling process and adapts her style to the particular needs of each client, always acknowledging that concepts related to positive relationship building are of primary consideration. She has had much success in generating a therapeutic environment of trust and respect and in putting her clients at ease. Gracie has gained extensive knowledge in the field of mental health to better assist her clients in addressing issues related to depression and anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, grief and loss, gender identity and inclusion issues, life transitions, and low self-worth, a list that is not all inclusive. Additionally, she has sought many opportunities to create groups involved with divorce recovery, grief and loss, anxiety and depression and the elevation of self worth. A particular area of interest has been to work with couples and families to strengthen bonds and create deeper connections. Gracie has also been known to even bring humor into the counseling session, always with the respect of the individual needs of each client. Former clients and basically anyone who knows Gracie recognizes the passion she has for the work that she does. She believes that anyone, at any age, has the potential to reach the greatest heights of who they are and to self actualize to their fullest potential. She is humbled to walk alongside each individual she has the privilege to counsel with as they progress in this empowering and insightful journey.
