Antonia Guttierrez, LPC Intern *Habla español
Antonia Gutierrez is licensed as a licensed professional counselor (LPC). She holds a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University which is accredited through CACREP. Antonia received her bachelor’s degree from Lewis-Clark State College in Kinesiology.
Antonia specializes in general mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety and is working on becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. She has enjoyed working with adolescents and adults. She is also bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.
Antonia primarily uses Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) with clients as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to promote change in clients, empower clients, and help them reach their therapeutic goals. Antonia believes that mental health is more than just being happy. It includes having self-confidence and self-esteem, expressing thoughts and emotions in a healthy way, and being and feeling safe in your environment and relationships.
